Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Tracy SQ | Automation Studio (“Tracy SQ”, “we”, “me”) is a small web development and AI automation studio serving clients in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and Winnipeg. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have. I handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
1. Information we collect
Information you give me directly through the contact form:
- Your name, company name (optional) and email address.
- The type of help you are looking for (for example, a website or an AI automation).
- The message you write about your business and what you have in mind.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard technical logs created by our hosting provider when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of the request.
- Your light or dark theme choice, stored in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
This website does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools. If that changes, this policy will be updated before they are switched on.
If you become a client, I will also collect the business and contact details needed to scope, build, invoice and support your project, as described in section 8.
2. How we use your information
- To read and reply to your inquiry and discuss whether we are a good fit.
- To prepare proposals, deliver services, send invoices and provide support.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it to make automated decisions about you. I will only send you marketing email if you have agreed to receive it, and every such message will include a way to opt out.
By submitting the contact form you consent to your information being used for these purposes. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see section 6).
3. Third-party services
To run this website I rely on a small number of service providers. They handle your information only to provide their service to me:
- Resend (email delivery): your contact form message is delivered to my inbox through Resend.
- Vercel (website hosting): serves the site and keeps standard server logs.
- My email provider: stores the messages I receive and my replies to you.
These providers may store or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. Links on this site to LinkedIn, GitHub or other external sites lead to services with their own privacy policies, which I do not control.
Apart from these providers, I only share personal information when you ask me to, when it is needed to complete a service you have requested, or when the law requires it.
4. How long we keep your information
I keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them when they are no longer useful. Client and billing records are kept for as long as needed to provide support and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
5. Security
I use modern, secure tools—like encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, restricted account access, and reputable cloud providers—to keep your information safe. While no system on the web is completely impenetrable, I take data protection seriously. Please avoid sending sensitive financial details like credit card numbers through the contact form. If an unexpected security issue ever arises that affects your data, I will notify you promptly.
6. Your rights and choices
You always have a say over your personal information. You can:
- Ask what information I hold about you or request a copy.
- Ask me to correct or update your details.
- Ask me to delete your information (subject to standard tax or legal record-keeping requirements).
To make a request, just drop a message through the contact form and mention that it’s a privacy inquiry. I’ll get back to you within 30 days. If you ever have concerns about how your data is handled, you are also welcome to reach out to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or British Columbia.
7. Cookies and local storage
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is your theme preference (light or dark). You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
8. Information from client projects
When I build or support a system for your business (like a client portal or custom dashboard), I may occasionally touch customer or lead data. In those cases, you remain in control of your data, and I only access it to build, test, and support the tools we agreed on. I never use client data for any other purpose. If your data is sitting inside a system I built for a business, please reach out to that business directly regarding your data.
Where a project uses AI services (for example speech-to-text or language models), the content you or your business submit to the tool is sent to the AI provider chosen for that project. The specific providers and how data is handled will be described during the project.
9. Children
This website is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy or your information? Please reach out through the contact form on the home page.
